For my senior thesis I created a series of 10 compositions & 10 journal entries exploring the trauma I sustained in a recent severe car accident. I wrote each journal and then created a composition based off of the emotion sparked from the entry itself.

I used a mixture of paint, colored pencil, marker, and thread to create the compositions. Once I completed all 10, I scanned in the pieces and placed them into a short-form monograph. I chose to hand-stitch the binding with red thread to mimic my spinal surgery scar, which added another layer of sentimentality to the narrative.
