studio RNDR x ccs collaboration

In 2019, select Communication Design students had the opportunity to participate in a virtual collaboration with studio RNDR in the Netherlands. Using their coding program, OpenRNDR, my partner and I created a series of 20 generative posters with content scraped from the internet.

I scraped content from left-leaning news articles, while my partner scraped content from right-leaning articles. We each gathered 10 articles on 10 different political topics in order to compare the stark differences between the two parties.

We spent a lot of time playing with and learning the program, and deciding how we wanted our posters to generate. We ended up with a few generative variables: text automatically scraped from the internet, highlighted key words from the article, & text size that changed based on mouse position.
